One in six users of the websites of news comes from Facebook
AT Internet publishes a study of 12 news websites Facebook emerges as an important source of traffic to other Web sites
According to the latest survey by AT Internet, the market leader in Web analytics dela, 12 major French news websites, social networks are an important source of traffic to other websites. This study shows the level of traffic generated Facebook and Twitter to French news websites.
After considering all the different sources of traffic for the French news websites, last March, was detected with AnalyzerNX that an average of 1.5% of traffic came from Facebook, and traffic from Web sites reference, a visit every six coming from Facebook.
Worldwide, nearly one person in ten has a Facebook account, the monster of social networks since its launch in February 2004 and only seven years later, has more than 550 million members. Facebook is without doubt a major company in the world of communication, which shows perfectly the barometer by AT Internet in March of this year.
As for the visits they received from reference sites, an average of 17.1% of visits to a French news Web site came from Facebook. Furthermore, and although it has fewer members, Twitter is also an important role in site visits news sites. In March 2011, these visits were of 2.2%.
However, the study noted that although they have high visibility, both Facebook and Twitter, have a stagnation in their share of visits as tributaries to the websites of the media. Will the signal from reaching its limit?
