Children's Illustration, A New Challenge For Artists
The children's illustration, which has always been conceived as a "minor art" opens a space of possibilities, from my point of view, it makes sense to frame it in such taxonomies. The same happened with watercolor, or the guitar in music. A great master in this art (music), Jesus Sanz, told me a story that always made me think. At the conservatory in which it formed, football partidillo were organized among the students. Well, one of the meetings was "to guitar players." These categories are history, but yet still emerging dichotomies reminiscent of those already overcome. Now is the illustration with traditional and digital techniques. How long, is it that the media and the media will continue to influence people's quality of work?, Under what criteria?, Especially with what technology has advanced reproductive gráfica.En end, for good no artist can resist half and if not, just take a look at the past century what Picasso would have done with a computer?. We'll never know, but I can imagine ...
Our traditional schemes as often betray the purpose of the achievements in this field. No doubt it is very beautiful contemplation of an original made with techniques called "own" the artwork, in fact numerous events in which illustrators calls show these pictures as works of art themselves, losing in many cases the purpose for which they were motivated, ie accompanying text aimed at children. This is why we can see exquisite works of dubious bill, but adaptation to image understanding by the children. No objection to this development of the artistic expressions of the Enlightenment, is I think he has unusual bright future in terms of quality and innovative proposals that are being seen. But one thing is speculative building in this genre and a practical application. Any illustration, today, is destined for publication in the media, also fairly advanced editing editorial. To perform this process, all artwork should be scanned or photographed and translated into digital media. Is not it natural that digital illustration is the way fit for the purpose?.
There is then a function of relieving one another, it is rather to understand what the ultimate goal and matching it or not. We can deduce that the quality has nothing to do with the media, photography that has been introduced gradually in this field, has also made great contributions in this regard, and has not questioned its use. In the faculties of fine arts and art schools, there remains an underhand manner this discussion, but I think it should be already outdated, as we move inexorably to a world determined by the pixels and Internet. http://lcespa.blogspot.com/
