Testimonials in Advertising direct mail sales letters should sound Groovy - Friend
If you want to improve your sales letters, read movie
Reviews. One of the most frequent criticisms brought
against new film is that the characters are wooden
and one dimensional. Their actions are predictable.
Their speech is expected.
Remember this when you decide to include a
testimonial letter in direct mail advertising.
Put a testimonial in your sales letter only help
your case and persuade prospects to respond if the
testimonial sounds authentic.
So it's hard to listen when you are waiting for a good
testimonies. Listen to the sentence that is
ungrammatical, the thoughts expressed in
vernacular. Hear the comments of satisfaction
customers that the real sounds.
Then I quote these examples, keeping the
grammatical errors, if possible. Your stories
need for them to have an authentic sound, a sound that
you can not play with your pen. So let your
customers to speak for you, allowing them to speak for
themselves. You sound more convincing precision
why they do it.
Here is an example of what I mean. One of my clients,
that makes commercial construction equipment,
wanted to convince the owners of the competing students
graders take a test drive of my client. The problem is,
Many potential customers proprietary Caterpillar graders
and have a brand loyalty that borders on Caterpillar
religious fanaticism.
My client wanted to convince these prospects difficult
that the hands that operate dozer blade of my clients are
more comfortable and productive for those who
competitors operate the machines.
Problem was, my client could not really say that in
their own words. Would seem that
boasted. Also, I'm biased, right?
I decided to make this proposal as a
testimonial. I tried the company's sales literature
newsletter and dealers, and found a pearl that came
from the mouth of a hand blade that works for a
construction company in Frisco, Texas. I have mentioned
citing as its president of the company quoted him:
"All our boys were Cat hands, but after we put a 772
in the hands of a number of our hands a knife,
when he started running the blade, about a week after
said: 'Do not go bringing that Caterpillar
back. '"
I could not say anything better if I tried. So I
has not .......
