Home Based Business Network System - Lesson 1

If you plan to run your own home based business then you will need to set up a home network. You will need a computer, a printer, a copier and then as your business grows you will find that you need more sophisticated equipment to automate and make your home based business not only easier to manage, but also a pleasant experience, something you enjoy doing.

So what is a home network?

It 's just the computer network you have in your home. In other words, computers, equipment and all accessories that connect to form the home network.

For your home based business network, you will need cables or RF channels to connect a computer or other. These two basic options are the difference between what is called a wired or a wireless network compared to wired.

The cable used to be the main mode of network connection, but with the advancement of technology is now cheaper and less awkward to create a wireless network. When using the cable connections, nodes are called nodes that may be in the form of computer, switch or router.

Switches.

They provide a place to connect the cables and, therefore, allow the physical connections between communicating computers and other equipment.

Router.

Other routers perform a similar purpose, but with more features and capabilities. For example, the routers have the ability to connect multiple networks together and at the same travel time of the traffic in an intelligent way between them, something that the switches can not be able to perform.

Computer.

The computers have become very sophisticated, such as the passage of time. Most computers nowadays perform these functions by themselves without the need to use external switches and routers.

Software within the computer system can use the network cards in each computer, with a simple switch in the middle, to allow communication between them. If your needs are simple enough then the computer alone can be the cheapest and easiest way to create a network-based home business.

But once again, on the other hand, if you network home based business is quite advanced and requires a connection more complicated then you'll definitely need some routers and switches.

I would also point out that there are other possible components you need to set the full your home network. Family of devices that fall under the general name for devices that are often part of the home network, for example, may need a fax printer or a scanner between multiple computers.

Even for home based business network, you must include a firewall. This is a software / hardware that allows the passage of information sent from reliable sources, but other types of data blocks are sent or received from other reliable sources.

E 'essential home system network remain protected behind a firewall. The good thing is that most if not all routers usually contain some inherent firewall functions.
