Jobs outsourced to India
"Outsourcing" has become a dirty word in the United States. Many of our citizens have had to change jobs, because the types of jobs that used to take hours are done outside the country for a much lower cost to their former societies.
This has helped to fuel the fires here and the current political administration has been accused of declaring "war" on the middle class. In connection with the companies in favor of profits compared to the people, have lost favor with the people. Personal bank accounts and wallets size belie the claim of the administration that the economy is strong. The facts show that the number of people below the poverty level has increased, so that the rich should be richer.
The loss of America is the gain in India, when it comes to two types of jobs commonly outsourced - programmers and call center employees. The latter is known to most of us who have had to call customer service to our credit card business service center software, or catalog numbers when ordering. It seems that most of these works have been entrusted to Indian companies. Despite the language barrier can sometimes present some minor difficulties, there is really no reason why more people around the world can not serve customers of any nation. The technology makes it possible today.
Computer programming is another profession that is highly outsourced to Indian companies. India has worked in computer programming. Many of the largest U.S. companies' outsource their programming work to Indian companies with great success. This takes different forms. Sometimes the U.S. company plans and manages the project closely. Other times the Indian firm takes all the planning and project management functions, as well as programming. One advantage is the speed of the overall project. This is because the planning, review, system testing can be done here, corrections and requests sent to India, that programs for their "night" and we change the first thing in the morning in the United States. The most important reason is that everything in outsourcing by U.S. companies is simply the cost. Indian workers are much less than Americans. The programmers here can start making college more than $ 50,000 a year. An experienced programmer in India will be the equivalent of about $ 10,000 a year. The cost difference is less dramatic in the call center workers, but is still substantial. Since business is driven by the bottom line, many drawbacks are tolerated to achieve this distinct financial advantage.
A television show called "30 Days", has told the story of an American programmer who lost their jobs to outsourcing in India and went to go back. There he found these two sectors, the programming and the center-call work, to be very widespread. Many other Indian companies have been outsourcing to U.S. companies. What really surprised him was its professional standing among Indian workers performing them. In India, the call center operator who is highly respected and well paid! This programmer ended up going for a particular job call center, where he has to prove how well he could act and sound American!
So is outsourcing right? And what will be the result of shipping all those jobs overseas? The U.S. government has allowed this to happen, they can do anything to stop it? Should? And 'this, as some say, a sold out the middle class? What do the rates of unemployment mean, if a large percentage of employees are making much less than in the past before their jobs were outsourced? These questions are much debated and hot political issues these days. Financial globalization is still in its infancy and these questions will continue to challenge us to find the best solution for everyone .......
