Man Foundation and Culture

Political ideas of a man is his deeds ... Pedro Barrie de la Maza, Conde Fenosa (deceased, March 14, 1971)

What is this blessed land, which saw you born! White Horse Rider!: Pedro de la Maza.En Barrié the middle man prays at the ends of Fame, and between first and last name, the work was his sword. "Mariano Cabrera, the reality of my silence, Poem:" And went about doing good ...

Carmela Arias and Diaz de Rabago, Countess of Fenosa (d. 2009)

Foundation "Pedro Barrie de la Maza"

The building Fundacionm "Pedro Barrie de la Maza" which saves both inside "knowledge," construction keeps the style of our ancient metropolis: large windows that gave the slogan "glass city". The late Count of Fenosa, Don Pedro for Corunna, was the pro-man Coruña, in my humble opinion, has done most to our city in the last century. His life was devoted to technical work for work, with skills specific to a great banker, and at the same time, a great entrepreneur: both qualities are hard to find in one person.

Thomas said: "Business Watch, watch their progress and brings value to the fruits." Our financial Coruña followed verbatim the previous thought, in any case, we must recognize that this gentleman employed exemplary prudence and discretion in all their actions, being "master of your money, and I say love, it was sufficiently humble man and distributed all his money, so that many families have lived and live in Galicia today as he left: work.

We can not forget that thanks to the push and money-not ours-Coruña Airport was built, the company Astano, Fenosa, Banco Pastor, etc. The Spanish proverb is true largely in the person of this prestigious character when he says: "The name is a man."

We all know that his works would qualify as an important man and gave him wide and deserved reputation. Know if he had political ideas, but I am fully convinced,-that the political ideas of a man are his deeds.

Whatever else is said, Don Pedro gave us all a simple, but "hard lesson" of humility, donated all his assets to the world of culture, when we come into this life, we do little knowledge of any kind that is, we must cultivate in order to respect and love our neighbors, dominating the "beast" within us: the former Yugoslavia, Chechnya, Burma, etc. are obvious examples of the beast is dominating the intellect of man and fomenting war between brothers. It's a simple fact: Killing for the pleasure of killing.

The wife of Don Pedro Barrie de la Maza, Donna Carmela_Arias_y_Díaz Rabago, Countess of Fenosa, following in the footsteps of her husband. She chaired the Board of Directors of Banco Pastor in his day, and today the Foundation, and by the way!, I think very well. The first is healthy financially, and the second has been a success in terms of construction and subsequent opening.

Doña Carmela was a simple woman, educated, sensitive and loving home, surrounded by people known effective and fair, and consistent with the work they do. It seems to me that you have the "gift" of listening ...

Let us hope that this great lady, who has worked for many years in the shadows, but effectively manifested in his exemplary career continues with the help of Dios.Si we go back to the fifteenth century we find a saying, which marks the balance in any litigious situation, which reads: "Both rides, rides well, Isabel and Fernando" well, moved to the present time we can do the following reading: "Both rides, rides well, the Countess as the Count."

Two lives marked by balance, in the broadest sense: One who left us and another who died on October 27, 2009.

The vein of poets that all writers have inside moves me to write the following poem: Galicia is the river / rivers have water, / the waters have the strength / force made God. / Born "Barrie de la Maza" / - God knows why he was born! -, / And water reservoirs; / and the power stored, / miracle! : Light showed. In this important work by "Fenosa" named and was the Galician nosa faith that brought him back to their land.

What a shame "Galicia Beautiful" did not have ten neighborhoods! Ten knights, ten Fenosa, ten ... ten employers Astano like him, but you had only one: one that was worth ten, and you had just one: What went about doing good ...! Galicia cried his grief when he died the Count of Fenosa, was his father, was his brother ... his faithful companion; kilowatts that were never to return. "White Horse Rider"'ve stopped jogging: Pedro Barrie de la Maza ... sleeps at peace.

The remains of Don Pedro_Barrié_de_la_Maza ("lord of the waters," "man's work" ...) are buried in the cemetery of San Amaro Coruña within a single niche, resurrection sleeping under simple inscription: "went about doing good" and a number: nine hundred fifty-three. Inside: a man.
